MnDOT is studying Hwy 7 from Hopkins Crossroad in Hopkins to the western Hennepin County line in St. Bonifacius. This study will seek to understand the transportation needs of all users, and identify and evaluate concepts for future improvements. MnDOT will be giving an update on the study including sharing potential improvements that are based on the study area needs and public feedback. Christopher Johnston, author of the novel "Where We Come From Is Gone." Chis is a first time published novelist whose book is set in Warroad, MN and Lake of the Woods where he grew up. The story follows a family across several generations who manage commercial fishing and mink farming operations. Their way of life is becoming lost to history. It's a good read. Christopher can talk about his book, the writing process and the challenges of getting a novel published in today's internet world.
